Queen Size Bed Sets & Mattresses

Queen size mattresses or bed sets are available in two sizes. Standard queen size beds measure 152cm wide x 188cm long, while extra length queen size mattresses measure 152cm wide x 200cm long. Mattress thickness and base height are not uniform and will differ depending on model and manufacturer. Guest rooms don't need more than a queen size bed unless the room is really large and looks like it needs a bigger bed. In the main bedroom, we recommend a queen mattress as a minimum.
Despite it being 15cm wider than a double it still only provides 76cm of sleep surface for each person. This is only just sufficient but the main bedroom often has "guests" in the form of children and/or pampered pets that like to spend time on the bed too. If space permits buy a king size bed for use in the main bedroom. The king size is not just only more comfortable from a spaciousness aspect but also lends the room an air of luxury!
